Cherry Tomatoes Spaghetti

  • 6 1/3 oz spaghetti
  • 6 1/3 oz cherry tomatoes
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 3 basil leaves
  • 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 pinch sugar
  • salt
  • pepper


  1. Wash the tomatoes and cut them in four slices.
  2. In a pan pour the olive oil with the garlic and let it golden for one minute.
  3. Add the tomatoes and season with salt and pepper. Add a pinch of sugar to counteract the acidity of the tomatoes.
  4. Cover the pan and let it cook for 5 minutes.
  5. In the meanwhile cook the pasta in salted water.
  6. If the sauce gets too dry add some water from the pasta. Pour the basil leaves before turning off the fire.
  7. Drain the pasta and pour into the pan containing the sauce.


  • If you dont’ like the tomato skin, dip them in hot water for 10 seconds. It will be easier to peel them.
