  • 1 cup almonds
  • 2 cups water
  • 4 small dates
  • 1tsp vanilla extract

  1. Rinse the almonds and soak them in a bowl of water in the fridge overnight or not less than 8 hours.
  2. After they have been soaked, rinse them again and place them in a blender with 2 cups of cold water. Mix them in the blender until the water gets a milky white color.
  3. Strain the liquid through a strainer, cheesecloth, or something known as a nut milk bag, sprout bag, or filtering bag. Squeeze the liquid through the cheesecloth or nut milk bag over a large bowl and discard the pulp or conserve it to bake with.
  4. Put the milk back into your blender and add the chopped dates and the vanilla extract. Blend the milk with the flavorings until smooth.
  5. Store your almond milk in a sealed container in the refrigerator. It will last a maximum of 3-4 days.

  • It will not last as long as regular milk since it is not pasteurized.
  • The fiber will naturally separate from the water so you must shake the almond milk before using it
